Awareness Campaign

Sepsis is the leading cause of death in US hospitals, responsible for 25% of global neonatal deaths, and costs more than $24 billion annually in the United States alone…

…yet only 55% of Americans know what it is.

We reach out to local, at-risk members of the community and give them the information they need to reduce their chances of contracting sepsis. Sessions are currently held at senior centers in the greater Seattle area, and cover what sepsis is, its symptoms, treatment options, strategies for prevention, and key resources.
We’ve also partnered with Sepsis Alliance, a national health organization, to raise funds towards creating training content for emergency first responders, thereby improving sepsis identification and treatment in the field.
